REVEL is a non-profit organization for teens and young adults with autism and related disorders and their peers. Our priority is to build a sense of community where everyone belongs, focuses on self-determination and autonomy and develops skills important in life as a teen and adult. Skills we prioritize include, developing leisure and recreational interests, independent living, exercise and fitness, development of relationships, learning and practicing work and community skills through developing partnerships in the community.
We create a welcoming place where teens and young adults on the spectrum, feel ownership and are responsible (with support) for developing and building their dreams. Though we are professionals with autism expertise supervising volunteers and community coaches/mentors, we are not a treatment center. We will support each individual's learning, and treatment plans within our natural, and community-based setting as appropriate to ongoing everyday settings and contexts.
